This shit is weird, One day a bored old man by the name of Albert Hofman sythesized LSD thinking it would later help in health science research. Little did he know he had discovered a drug that revolutionalised the word "tripping". As he continued his reasearch he decided to test it on himself... a simple description was recorded while Dr. Albert was under the influence "remarkable restlessness, combined with a slight dizziness" and "an extremely stimulated imagination". Though, unfortunantly, further tests showed that perfectly healthy untainted test subjects became mentally ill and some fell to the wrath of schizophrenia. Years past, research seemed "unnecessary" to further knowledge on LSD, Albert himeslf quoted "I think that in human evolution it has never been as necessary to have this substance LSD. It is just a tool to turn us into what we are supposed to be". Though in later years he Hofmann became director of the natural products department at Sandoz and went on studying hallucinogenic substances found in Mexican mushrooms and other plants used by the aboriginal people. This led to the synthesis of psilocybin, the active agent of many "magic mushrooms. Hmmm, This post was more about Dr Albert Hafman than chemistry really, who cares.

The Encyclopedia Of Fantasy and Curb Your Entusiasm

This book is one of vast knowledge, it's an archive on A-Z everything "fantasy". From The Addams Family to the small change fantasy card game of Magic the gathering to the different stories of how Santa came about. It's fun to read and the pictures are quiet appealing too. I'd think it would be great to read to a Yr 13 classics class considering it's got a whole 52 page section on mythologys all over the world. It's just a book you could never get bored of.

It is often said that Larry David was the driving genius behind Seinfeld, that his was the mind that spun all those comic situations that made the show so ineffably funny for so many years.Curb Your Enthusiasm, does nothing to contradict that claim. It is rife with the same sense of humor that propelled Seinfeld, all the way down to the recognizable mix of self-absorbed characters compelled by their natures to do outlandish things that eventually ignite in a come-uppance finale of guilt and embarrassment made ironic by intricately interconnected storylines. The situations in Curb are every bit as brilliant as the ones in Seinfeld.

Having said that, it's unfortunate that Curb is about a fifth as pleasurable as Seinfeld. I pick that fraction purposefully, because my take on Curb is that it is essentially Seinfeld minus the four foundations that made that show work so well: the brilliant comic actors, the micro fine-tuned comic dialogue, the studio production quality, and the everyman New York setting. It's almost as if David is saying, "I know I can succeed with all those elements, but it bores me to use them. I want to see if I can play the game without the equipment."

It has finally come to this, NZ's government has cast upon us these laws of black magic and evil trickery to attemp to stop illegal downloads happening. Most people are outraged by this new law and i am proudly one of them. Though i really wouldn't go to the beehive itself and stand outside it for days with (not so elaborate) black signs and black tape over my mouth in protest to the new law. In some extream cases, if a law is breached, the accused IP address will without warning be cancelled, meaning no moree internet.
